Did you know that there is a symbol (located at the base of your tupperware products) that is required on all plastic food storage products in Europe? This is to indicated that the material used to manufacture these products are safe to use with food. After you have spent a bit (sometimes a bomb, you cant help it after attending one of our Tupperware parties?) on your Tupperware containers, you would want to know how to care for them so that they last a lifetime! Make sure that after washing and drying them with a soft clote, you store them without their seals on. If you keep the seals on, the smell from the food you stored previously, will remain. Continuing from our discussion before on Tupperware Seals. I just love the Modular Mates range (then again, you probably will hear me saying these about other Tupperware products too!LOL!) The modular mates seal come in different shapes – the ovals, rounds, squares, mini rectangles, rectangles and superovals They used to make the seals from a different type of plastic that used to harden and easily crack and get returned for replacement time and time again. However, due to our excellent designers at Tupperware, they have replaced the material and the current Modular Mates seals are more pliable and durable and I seldom get any more replacement with the new ones. Some people think that these Modular Mates seals are air tight but they are more for dry items that do not require super air tight containers. So flour, drink mixes and spices are okay. But if you intend to put biscuits in, they probably will lose their crunchiness after 3 months. Read more…
